Long before there is a messaging campaign, tagline, or communications strategy, there is a conversation with a client. That’s always the beginning. Choose your words.

Words create an understanding between people. They define and connect us. We want to be heard and to find our community. Commercially, targeted words help build brands, sell ideas and products, and define an ethos to a bunch of people dealing with noise.

Websites, brochures, taglines, campaigns, consumer packaging, e-newsletters, e-blasts, event promotions, blogs, press kits, arts performer profiles, catalogs, radio spots, print advertising … I’ve done it all, many times.

Ghost Blogging

Hate writing, but love online traffic?

Then consider hiring a ghost-blogger. Blogging increases SEO, as you know, but you may not enjoy writing or have the capacity, interest or energy for it.
I have developed the brand voice for clients who’ve then hired me to blog for them in that voice. This not only allows for greater SEO, more website traffic, inquiries and sales, but over time these clients have seen their brands more recognizable and more expansive. Blogging allows you to tell the company story, build brand awareness through events and anecdotes, and create new content that is more targeted.

Like it or not, you are who people think you are.

You, your company, your organization or cause is a brand.
Defining your brand well and sticking with it is one of the hardest and most satisfying things you can do. You can certainly evolve, and good brands do this, but the best brands have a recognizable foundation. Exercise brand discipline, but be nimble creatively.

I take clients through a process during onboarding and at the end of phase 1, we have a road map, an identity system and a strategic outline.

and targets, and an attention to detail, a passion for seeing the whole of a brand and working through each granular element. I am part of the Squarespace Circle, have built sites in Wordpress, Wix, Weebly and Shopify. Websites are a tool, and well built, they can work hard for you.
